SPAGHETTI BOLOGNAISE - The Meat BarnServes: 4

Ingredients

500 g beef mince
1 onion
1/4 cup tomato paste
425 g can of peeled tomatoes
250 g spaghetti
2 tblsp olive oil
cheese to serve

 

Method

1 Cook 1 finely chopped onion in a pan over medium heat for 1-2 mins.
2 Add 500g beef mince stirring constantly until well browned.
3 Stir in ¼ cup tomato paste and 425g can of peeled tomatoes. Cover and simmer gently for 20 – 30 mins. Serve with spaghetti and cheese.

Tip: The longer you simmer the sauce before serving the more complex the flavours will become.

Variation: Add some chopped vegetables to the bolognaise sauce.

Serving Suggestion: Serve with cheese on top.
